OPEN M Rings in the Next 50 Years

A 50 year anniversary is no small feat and is absolutely something to celebrate.

And that’s just what OPEN M did on September 14th!

Over 330 of OPEN M’s closest friends gathered at St. George Family Center in Fairlawn to ring in this milestone anniversary complete with a 19 piece big-band orchestra.

This year OPEN M was honored to have Harry & Fran Donovan and Roger B. Chaffee, MD as honorary chairs for the gala. Individuals who without a doubt have guided OPEN M to where we are today and where we will go in the future.

A highlight of the night came when Fran & Harry (posthumously) were presented with the Founder’s Award for helping to guide OPEN M’s course through the 50 years. Surely, OPEN M would not be what it is today without the Donovan’s guidance and support throughout the years.

Dr. Roger Chaffee was then presented with the Lifetime Achievement Award for his over 25 years of service to one of OPEN M’s core programs, the Medical Clinic.

Dr. Chaffee’s expertise and guidance have helped countless individuals over the years with, at times, life threatening ailments. He has impacted more lives than could ever be measured.

OPEN M’s 50th Gala turned out to be the biggest in our history. With the evening’s auctions, donations and sponsorships, OPEN M was able to raise over $134,000 to support all of the ongoing missions across the board!
