Celebrating the Success of Christmas for the Love of Children
The holiday season is a time for giving, and this year’s Christmas for the Love of Children program was a resounding success! Thanks to the unwavering support of our volunteers, sponsors and community partners, we were able to bring joy, warmth, and hope to families and children in need. Here are the highlights of this heartwarming initiative:
Program Highlights
Number of Families Served: 200 families received essential support through the program.
Number of Children Benefited: Over 650 children received gifts, pajamas, and books, bringing smiles and laughter to their holiday season.
Food Distribution: Each family was provided with approximately 165 pounds of food, ensuring they had ample provisions to celebrate the holidays together.
The Role of Community Involvement
This year’s program was a testament to the power of community. It was made possible by the generous contributions of:
Over 50 various organizations, churches and individual donors who came together to make a difference.
Our dedicated volunteers who shopped for children, organized gifts, and ensured a seamless distribution day.
The transition from a drive-through model to an in-person gift pick-up process allowed families to connect with the community and experience the joy of the season firsthand. Additionally, a successful book drive meant that we did not need to purchase books, leaving us with a surplus for next year.
The Impact
The program’s impact was deeply felt by all involved. Parents expressed immense gratitude for the support, and the excitement among children was contagious. From the cheerful chatter during gift pick-up to the glowing smiles of children clutching their new treasures, the spirit of the holidays was alive and thriving.
