Employment Services
OPEN M Employment Services delivers one on one employment support, access to 50+ employer partners and workshops focused on job readiness and financial empowerment to adults in Summit County. The OPEN M Employment Services team aims to help individuals overcome personal barriers to find meaningful employment and advance in their careers.
Community Works Akron
CWA is a week-long intensive workshop that is offered the first week of every month to participants who need additional support. This program focuses on barrier identification and resolution, soft skills training, and job readiness. Complete with mock interviews and resume support, this program is intended to help participants prepare for interviews and land a job.
One on One Support
Our Employment Services team will be with you every step of the way, from the first day you arrive until securing employment and beyond. Employment Specialists provide assessments and instruction on a variety of topics including communication skills, conflict resolution, and professional development. There is also access to tablets and free Wi-Fi to search and apply for jobs or participate in a virtual interview. Once hired, the relationship continues for future career development and mentoring.

We have a great network of Employer Partners in the community who understand the important steps our participants are taking. They look forward to employing the right candidates for their open positions.
Peer to Peer Mentoring
Peer mentoring groups meet twice a month to continue personal and professional development after obtaining employment. These groups meet virtually and at various times to accommodate different work schedules.
