Christmas for the Love of Children
Join us in making the holiday season brighter for local children and their families through OPEN M's annual Christmas for the Love of Children program!
Each year, over 600 children and their families receive gifts, food, pajamas and books, spreading joy and warmth during the holiday season. We invite you to be part of this wonderful tradition and help bring smiles to the faces of Akron’s children.
HOW YOU CAN HELP:
Direct Donation: Support us by making a monetary donation, and we'll take care of the shopping! Your donations help us purchase new books, pajamas, and gifts for children in need.
Hold a Food Drive: Team up with your friends, family, or coworkers to hold a food drive and collect essential items. Our Food Services Department has identified key items families need for the season and your contribution will make a big difference! Email us at food@openm.org to learn how you can get started.
Join Our Christmas Committee or Volunteer:
We need dedicated volunteers to help make this program a success. Whether you can offer your time or expertise, there are several ways to get involved:
Join the Christmas Committee to help plan and organize.
Volunteer to assist with tasks such as organizing gifts, shopping for children, and helping with distribution days on December 16th and 17th.
Help receive gifts dropped off by generous donors during the lead-up to our distribution event.
Your support helps ensure that children in Akron will experience the joy of the season. Whether through donating, volunteering, or spreading the word, every contribution counts.
