A Season of Giving Thanks

Fall 2023

The holiday season has begun, and OPEN M has plenty to be thankful for. We had a fruitful September, reaching our fundraising goal for our inaugural OPEN Your Heart Breakfast. I am so grateful to the many sponsors, panelists, donors, volunteers, board members and attendees for making this event great. Our OPEN M family truly has servant hearts.

Building from the breakfast panel discussion, I have instituted Community Conversations on the first Tuesday of each month from 3-4 p.m. We have an incredible opportunity for people to come together and share ideas and community needs. Please consider attending and engaging with fellow community members.

With the breakfast behind us, we approach another large event, Christmas for the Love of Children, our annual Christmas assistance program serving 600 children and their families from Akron. OPEN M still has a need for donors to support the purchase of gifts for 200 of the children. I invite you to join in the season of giving by contributing or volunteering to this wonderful program.
