OPEN M Free Medical Clinic Earns Gold Rating from the NAFC Quality Standards Program
OPEN M Medical Clinic earned a 2020 Gold Rating from the National Association of Free and Charitable Clinics (NAFC) Quality Standards program for its commitment to providing quality care to patients free of charge.
The NAFC and its members are dedicated to ensuring the medically underserved have access to affordable, quality healthcare. The OPEN M Medical Clinic is staffed by more than 160 volunteer doctors, nurses and skilled medical professionals who donate their time to deliver quality care to nearly 1,000 uninsured active patients.
“We are honored to receive this top rating from the NAFC. It reflects the commitment that we have to our patients and to providing them with the care that they deserve,” said Angel Seese, OPEN M Health Services Manager.
NAFC members voluntarily submit information to the NAFC that demonstrate the quality of care provided. To quantify and qualify the care provided, the NAFC formalized a set of Quality Standards for member organizations. The NAFC formalized a set of Quality Standards for member organizations. The NAFC Quality Standards elements include policies and procedures related to the following areas: Administrative, Enhanced and Continuity of Care, Identifying and Managing Patient Population Information, Planning and Managing Care, Providing Self-Care Support and Community Resources, Tracking and Coordinating Care, and Measuring and Improving Performance.
OPEN M provides comprehensive healthcare in its community-based location for the working poor or uninsured.
