Save the Date

Save the date for the OPEN M Gala, the organization’s annual fundraising celebration, on Friday, September 10, 2021 at St. George’s in Fairlawn, OH. For those not yet comfortable attending in-person, the event will also be held virtually.

Enjoy a night of celebration and philanthropy with live entertainment, a silent auction, raffle items, heavy hors d’oeuvres, an open bar and more, all to honor and celebrate the rich history, exciting present and bright future of OPEN M.

The Gala is OPEN M’s signature fundraising event and focuses on raising public awareness about poverty in the Akron community and beyond. OPEN M is a Christian non-profit organization that serves more than 40,000 individuals annually with food, health and employment services—all intended to create pathways out of poverty. All proceeds from the event will directly benefit OPEN M and allow the organization to continue to offer these services free of charge to those in need.

“We are excited to offer both in-person and virtual attendance for this year’s event. In an effort to make the virtual experience as interactive as the in-person, guests will be able to have their meals delivered to their homes and engage in the auction via mobile bidding,” said Jess Rist, OPEN M Development Manager.
